BII invests in Boston While Black to support growth of thriving network
BII has become the first major external investor in Boston While Black, a digital and in-person membership network focused on creating spaces, tools and resources that enable Black people to thrive in Boston.
Boston While Black Partners with Bain Capital to Support Black Employees, Professionals and Entrepreneurs Throughout Greater Boston
The partnership will kick off with Bain Capital Double Impact Managing Director, Greg Shell, speaking at the inaugural ‘How to Boston While Black’ Summit on Thursday, April 28th. Greg will be a panelist for ‘Black In Tech’ breakout session – ‘Demystifying Fundraising for Founders: How to Gain Access to Capital.’
In May, Boston While Black will interview one of Bain Capital’s Black ERG leaders for the second iteration of the LinkedIn live series, #CorporateWhileBlack. “This partnership is deeply aligned with our mission to shape a city where Black people want to live and work,” says Sheena Collier, Founder and CEO at Boston While Black. “With our combined resources, Boston While Black and Bain Capital possess the power and agency to equip Boston’s Black Founders and aspiring Entrepreneurs with capital and make tremendous strides towards creating a more equitable and innovative city.”
