BOSTON WHILE BLACK AT A GLANCE

By year two, almost 30% of startups fail, which is why we proudly celebrate the fact that Boston While Black has experienced tremendous growth in our 2nd year; even doubling in size by some measures. Our small but mighty team of 7 has served 746 members, 14 corporate partners, hosted almost 90 events, and reached over 22,000 people through our digital communications. With a revenue in this time frame of almost $2M, we put over 10% right back into local Black-owned businesses, as well as engaging our team and members in 3 community service events. We are not just a community organization or a small business. We are a high-growth, Black woman-owned, people of color-led, tech-enabled social enterprise that is creating a scalable method for how Black people find belonging in cities, disrupting the ways that corporations support their Black talent, and influencing the City to create policies & processes that promote inclusion and belonging.
