The inaugural ‘How to Boston While Black’ Summit is three days of workshops, panels, and experiences to align Boston’s Black leaders, community, and our allies on the solutions and strategies to create the city we all want to live in.

The summit will include a special day focused on building a thriving and connected Black tech and life sciences ecosystem across the region. Speakers throughout the summit will share best practices for navigating the civic, political, professional, entrepreneurial, cultural, and social landscapes of Greater Boston as a Black person.

Join us in Spring 2022 to immerse yourself in programs, resources, and community-building. Our mission: Shaping a city where Black professionals, students, and entrepreneurs want to live and work because you have the spaces, tools, and relationships!

Summit Overview

Day 1: Apr 28, 2022

Building a thriving and connected Black tech and life sciences ecosystem in Boston.

Activities:

• Showcasing Boston’s tech companies’ who are committed to equity
• Role of city and state government in attracting talent
• Supporting Black tech startups and founders

Day 2: Apr 29, 2022

Workshops, panels, and discussions on navigating Boston’s professional, education, civic, and political landscapes.

Activities:

• Targeted job fair with top companies
• 1:1 speed mentoring with Boston’s Black leaders
•  Volunteer and board opportunities

Day 3: Apr 30, 2022

Gatherings, experiences, panels on navigating Boston’s social, cultural, and community-building landscapes.

Activities:

• Guided neighborhoods tours
• Black-owned restaurant crawl
• Live music and performances
